Darren Mitchell, Director
With over 20 years’ experience advising both employers and employees, Darren brings a balanced, professional perspective to workplace issues. His focus is on clear advice, fair process and realistic outcomes.
Darren Mitchell, BA, LLB (Victoria University of Wellington), Director for Mitchell King Employment Relations Consultancy (MKER), has worked in the employment relations area for over 20 years.
Darren has had vast experience on both sides of the employment table, advising and representing both employers and employees. He established MKER in 2014.
Darren’s previous working background includes as an employment relations consultant for a business based member association, compliance and human resource management in the private sector, and time spent working in project management for an NGO implementing safety training programmes internationally.
Darren strives to provide a practical and professional service, taking a common sense approach to problem resolution, one that promotes fairness, and is client focused.
Darren is a member of the Employment Law Institute of New Zealand (ELINZ)
